What the version means in the components

When you search for a component in the database you may find that the same component has different versions. An example could be the HiKu CS3W-445MS module which you can find as HiKu CS3W-445MS (V5.594) or HiKu CS3W-445MS (V5.7).

The version of a component is taken from the specification sheet. Manufacturers sometimes publish several versions of the same model in which not only the electrical characteristics may change, but sometimes also the mechanical characteristics.

In the specific case of Canadian HiKu CS3W-455MS modules, the difference is in the thickness of the module (from 40 mm to 35 mm in version 5.7).
