Maximum DC/AC ratio

Defines the maximum ratio between the peak power on the DC side (modules) and the nominal power on the AC side (inverters).

For example, with a maximum DC/AC ratio of 1.2, the platform will never connect more than 3.6 kWp to a 3 kWn inverter.

This parameter directly affects the calculation of the number of inverters required in the installation. For more information, you may take a look at how the simulator may calculate a higher number of inverters than expected.

What is the module grouping tolerance

The platform automatically connects modules in different orientations into different MPPTs, as long as the orientations differ more than the tolerance.

For example, if you have one inverter with a single MPPT and you have 10 modules facing South at 20º tilt and another 10 modules facing South at 25º tilt, the platform will use two inverters if the module grouping tolerance is 4.5º and one inverter if the tolerance is 5.5º (assuming there is no other limitation to connect those modules to the inverter).
